Our Peace Pole — Planted in the front garden at 41, Bromley Road and dedicated in April 2018

The greatest religious problem today is how to be both a mystic and a militant; in other words how to combine the search for an expansion of inner awareness with effective social action, and how to feel one's true identity in both.

Next Sunday gathering: 15 Sept, Unity Drum Jam

Who we are

We are a friendly, down to earth, music loving, LGBTQI affirming, justice seeking, diverse group of Unitarians who gather weekly in vibrant south London where Lewisham meets Catford. Every Sunday at 11am we meet to recharge and refill, to share stories and silence, to listen to music and sometimes to sing, and always to draw nourishment from ancient wisdom traditions and modern reflections. We run ourselves, support local projects and charities — and make good cakes. Whoever you love, wherever you come from, and whatever it is you are searching for, you are welcome here.

We host ceremonies of all kinds, including child dedications, weddings and namings. We are committed to marking the path through life with grace and beauty and will work with you on making each ceremony special.

And we are LGBTQI affirming

We are proud to be the first place of worship to be registered for same sex weddings in the Borough of Lewisham.
